ABOUT ME…
I’m a former fashion designer, founder of Unforgettable Impact, and the Signature Style Strategist for women who are exceptional at what they do, but aren’t being seen at that level yet.
I’ve spent my whole career watching something most people never notice: the way you present yourself isn’t decoration. It’s information. It tells a room how to treat you before you’ve said a word.
I learned this by accident, fifteen years ago, in a hotel ballroom in California…
It was a three-day entrepreneur event. Four or five hundred people.
I’d recently been working on my branding — but I didn’t yet understand that style was branding.
I just got dressed the way I always do. Floor-length dress one day, a sharp pantsuit the next. Bright scarves. Jewellery with personality.
Nothing strategic. Just me.
By day two, women I’d never spoken to were seeking me out to tell me how they’d noticed me across the room. The organisers — the people with the most influence at that entire event — kept finding me, remembering my name.
I made some of the best connections of my career in those three days… joint ventures, partnerships, and relationships that turned into hundreds of thousands of dollars of business over the years that followed.
My work didn’t change.
The way people read me did.
I had a skill so embedded I didn’t know it was a skill. I genuinely thought everyone could do this — that it was just ‘getting dressed.’
It isn’t. Most accomplished women never had a fashion designer’s training in translating who they are into how they’re seen. So they default to safe, acceptable, fine.
The pattern has never stopped… I recently joined a local networking group, and the people with the most influence in the room come over to talk to me first, every time.
Women I’ve never met comment online that they’ve noticed me, that something about how I show up stands out to them.
Not because I look ‘nice.’
Because I’m instantly recognisable as exactly what I am.
That’s what I’ve spent the last fifteen years learning how to do deliberately.
My work isn’t about makeovers or trends.
